If you are having difficulty logging in, you can request that your password hint be emailed to you. At the bottom of the hint email, you will find a link to let you reset your password. If you have never logged in before, your password should be the last 4 digits of your SSN.

If you are not being prompted to have your hint emailed to you, then you are not using the correct username. Your username is probably one of the following:

• First initial + last name (SHORT NAME)
• First initial + middle initial + last name

If you are requesting that your password hint be emailed to you and you are not getting the email, then you are probably trying to use someone else's username.

If you do not know your username or are still having problems logging in to ESS, please contact your payroll representative for assistance.
